About

In the winter of 2010, a high school student from Bucks County, PA, preparing to graduate and rediscovering a forgotten love of writing (that had died with the loss of her former web domain), started a blog to vent some pent-up sarcasm and opinions that her friends in the physical world had probably grown tired of.

Nine years (and two degrees) later, this girl has grown into me.

Now living in DC, and 27 years old, I maintain this blog because it remains an outlet for fleshing out some still-developing ideas of what it means to be a grownup, a political and social activist, and, quite often, just a flawed human being.

In an attempt to preserve some anonymity on the internet, I originally started this blog under a pen name, though to some extent, it has become the name many close friends now associate with me.

Feel free to check out the Inspirations page to see who and what has influenced my writing and my work, or submit any questions or feedback in either the comments or through the contact page.

I run this blog because I enjoy writing -- I can only hope you enjoy reading it.
